We are looking for a proactive person with considerable administration, HR and organisational skills, someone who is a confident manager and understands the demands of governance and who can provide professional oversight to support our elected members in delivering services to our residents.

As a parish of over 10, 300 residents (we’re still expanding) we will be relocating the office and developing facilities in conjunction with our three Community Venues. Our Strategic Parish Action Plan will need nourishing and our small but mighty team look forward to showing off the Parish itself, a unique semi-rural area consisting of four communities spanning in age from the neolithic, to a saxon settlement, to a newly built estate. All with a rich agricultural, military and light industrial heritage including Old Sarum Airfield, the site of a saxon burial, and medieval potteries. We have over thirty play parks, and a Skate Park. There are two senior schools, three primary schools and one junior school. The Parish boasts a variety of open spaces including Castle Hill Country Park, Cockey Downs, Laverstock Water Meadows, and Whitebridge Spinney boardwalk.
If you are the right person, you will be determined that the council meets local government best practice standards and will ensure the efficient and effective implementation of council decisions. You will attend meetings, including various working groups and be supported by a strong team consisting of our Responsible Financial Officer, our two Operations Officers, our Communications and Community Engagement Officer and our new Community Venues Officer.
