Residents urged to take action now in case of groundwater flooding

Residents urged to take action now in case of groundwater flooding

We are urging residents across the county – but particularly in the south – to check their flood risk now and take action where Environment Agency flood warnings and alerts are in place.

Nearly all groundwater monitoring stations on Salisbury Plain and stretching down to Salisbury have Environment Agency flood warnings currently in place, which means that flooding is expected and people should act now.

People at risk of flooding should take steps now to protect themselves, their loved ones, pets and any valuables by moving them to a safe place. They should also put flood protection equipment in place if they have it.
