Help shape the future of Laverstock & Ford Parish

Laverstock & Ford Parish Council is inviting residents to comment on its draft Strategic Plan 2026-2030 and asking for thoughts on resulting actions.

Together, these documents will set out the Council’s vision for the future of the parish and identify the projects, services and priorities that we believe will be most important over the coming years.

Before these plans are finalised, we want to hear from the people who know our communities best – our residents.

Why are we consulting?

The Parish Council makes decisions on behalf of the community and manages services, facilities, open spaces and local assets that affect thousands of residents across the parish.

Our draft plan covers a wide range of topics, including:

• Community safety and resilience
• Planning and development
• Sustainable transport and road safety
• Climate change and biodiversity
• Play areas, open spaces and community facilities
• Accountability, governance and financial planning

While the draft plan reflects many months of work, it is important that it is also informed by the views, experiences and priorities of local residents.

Your feedback will help us to:

• Confirm whether we have identified the right priorities
• Understand which issues matter most to residents
• Identify any important gaps or opportunities
• Inform future budgeting and resource decisions
• Ensure the final plans reflect the needs of our communities

How can I take part?

We have created a short online survey which should take approximately 5–10 minutes to complete.

Before completing the survey, we encourage you to read the Draft Strategic Plan 2026-2030 attached to this page.

The actions we will develop will be shaped by this and other consultations and also by work within our various committees and working groups over the coming months. The goal is to have a set of targeted actions that we can use to inform our budget setting which happens each Winter.

What happens next?

Once the consultation closes, all responses will be reviewed and analysed by the Parish Council.

A summary of the feedback received will be published and used to help shape the final Strategic Plan and resulting actions.
