Residents urged to take action now in case of groundwater flooding
Following heavy rain form Storm Chandra, groundwater levels have risen sharply across the Dorset and Wiltshire area. These levels are as high, and in some places higher, than the 2013/2014 levels that caused widespread flooding.

Unfortunately, due to recent inclement weather, program delays have occurred and the below works on A338 St Thomas Roundabout to Bridge House have been postponed and will now commence on Friday the 12th of December 2025 and will be completed by the morning of Saturday the 13th of December 2025.
Wiltshire Councils Highways department are proposing a series of traffic calming measures to improve safety for pedestrians and cyclists on Pearce Way and Roman Road.
