Future Waste Services Feedback Survey.

Please note this is not a consultation. It is a feedback exercise to help inform and guide future changes to waste and recycling services in Wiltshire.

Wiltshire Council are making changes to waste and recycling services in Wiltshire to improve sustainability and provide value for money. Here’s what’s coming:

  1. More recycling at home: Weekly food waste collections and fortnightly plastic bag and wrapping collections.
  2. Less general waste: With more recycling, household waste collections will move from every two weeks to every three weeks.
  3.  Household Recycling Centre (HRC) changes: Purton and Lower Compton HRCs will close, but they will remain open whilst work is undertaken to progress the new facility in the north of the county.
  4.  An online booking system pilot at some of our HRCs: To reduce queues and improve safety, some HRCs will pilot an online booking system.

This survey should take around 10 minutes to complete. Your feedback will help shape how Wiltshire Council introduce these services and how best they can support you.

Wiltshire Council’s Local Transport Plan 4 Consultation.

Wiltshire Council is inviting residents, businesses, organisations and community groups to take part in a public consultation on the Local Transport Plan 4 (LTP4) draft Delivery Plan.

The Delivery Plan sets out how the council intends to implement the policies and objectives in the LTP4, covering the period 2025-2038. It details the projects, supporting strategies and infrastructure needed to help deliver safer roads, more accessible and sustainable travel options, better public and shared transport, and progress towards a zero-carbon transport system.

The draft plan includes proposed work across the key themes such as public transport, active travel, freight parking, electric vehicle infrastructure, and place-based transport strategies for principal settlements, market towns and rural communities.

The consultation is your opportunity to shape the next stage of transport planning in Wiltshire. Your feedback will help refine the programme, inform the development of supporting documents, and ensure the plan reflects the needs and priorities of all parts of our county.

The consultation runs from Tuesday 31 March to Tuesday 5 May 2026 – Consultation Link
