Having seen recent discussions on neighbourhood social media pages, both the Parish Council PC and Salisbury Football Club SFC would like to clarify the current situation.

The pitch is currently still under the ownership of Vistry and is due to be transferred to the PC.  However, before that transfer can take place, the pitch must be in a condition where it can be played on safely.  Currently SFC are assisting Vistry and Wiltshire Council with contacts to conduct final inspections, to ensure the pitch is acceptable to Football Association and Sport England standards.

Once complete, the pitch and changing rooms will be transferred to the PC who are happy to talk to any interested parties to see what can be achieved to make the best use of this excellent facility.  Community use will be an integral part of any future arrangements.

There is a possibility that SFC may be interested in a long term management arrangement but at present this has gone no further than an initial look at the pitch and facilities by club officials.  There are no plans for any artificial surfacing.

Any proposals for use and management will be carefully considered.  Members of the public are welcome and encouraged to attend PC meetings to hear any debates, and minutes of past meetings are published on the website.
